Storyboard for SWAP 2012

Here is my first storyboard for SWAP 2012 and it's made after lots of thinking. I have scanned those fabrics I want to use and put them together with pics from pattern sources.

Here is my list:

1x Button Down Shirt w/Collar; Creamy cotton

2x Blouses or shirt (collar is optional) White cotton with embroidery and creamy silk
2x Overshirt /Tunic; light pink linen and cream white jersey
2x Dresses; Green linen and patterned vintage fabric in green, yellow and beige
1x Trousers, cropped for summer; light beige checked stretch cotton blend
2x Skirts; Brown light tweed and mossgreen suit fabric
1x Coat (suit); Brown light tweed

Maybe I will change pattern or fabric for some objects but it will something like this.

Here is my first seven Dressember dresses.

Today I wore my last finished object. This is one of my 6 for winter, even if it's a summer dress.

Dress me up

As I've said before, I don't own so many dresses. But I can sew so what's the problem?
This dress was a summer sewing project. But when it was finished I didn't like it and have never whore it before.

This day's note for myself is that this one can be used and maybe liked.

Dress Day One

Even if I don't have so many dresses to fill a whole month I will try to maka as many outfits with dresses as I can.
This is my first dressember outfit and I sew this dress yesterday and pattern is from My Image magazine.

I'm happy with this outfit and I hope I can use it again with other accessories to get a new look.

Time for Dressember

I'm going to join Dressember which is a great challenge but I do want it to work.
I already told you that I want to wear dress and skirt more often and this is a chance for me to prove that it'll work even if I don't own so many dresses, yet...
I already wear a skirt today to make me ready to join tomorrow and I also want to make it a selfmade dressember. I'll try to wear something everyday that I've made myself.

This brown skirt was finished the other day and I like the wrinkled part close to the darts.

Long time since last...

I've been in Sweden for a couple of weeks and when I'm there I have nearly no time for blogging. But I want to show you my latest skirt.

It is made of purple twill and maybe to tight but I like this design. Maybe I will sew another from Burda pattern and make it a little bit smaller. I will soon have enough skirts.

Burda vs. Ottobre

Have to show drawings of my skirt. Next time I will sew the Ottobre skirt and make it look a like.

This is the skirt I've made. It's from Burda Style Magazine 10/2011, model 136. Sizes 44-52 and I changed it to fit me who are a size 40.

I think I can make this Ottobre skirt from 5/08 just as good as the first. See if I can find a nice fabric in my stash.

Skirt one

I have a plan to sew more skirts and dresses to wear because I really like to wear skirts. And today I've finished my first one.

I like it and maybe I sew one in another fabric too.

I also finished some sort of top and it turned out okay. Not perfect, but okay.

Next item is to make a muslin out of an old, loved wornout dress. Maybe it can be a wearable muslin.

Winter sewing

Time to plan again. Last 6PAC didn't turn out in an expected way. I understood that I don't sew what fit me best and there was only a couple of items finished. But after a lot of reading and thinking I start all over again.

This is what I plan to sew in a couple of months:

There is a jacket and pen skirt in brown tweed, Cape in violet wool crepe, sheath Dress in green linen and dress in flower print. I also want to add a green velour top.
